Welcome To The Next Thirty.
The Women’s National Basketball Association was founded in 1996 and has had an incredible thirty year journey since. To celebrate this momentous occasion in 2026 — the WNBA needed a logo to timestamp this moment of women’s sport and culture.

At Sibling Rivalry we were tasked with creating a logo identity that needed to include the number ’30,’ the WNBA Logowoman and the WNBA wordmark. The identity needed to celebrate not only the legacy of the prior thirty years - but look to the future of the league and encompass the women’s accomplishments both on and off the court. To accompany the logo we created a visual system and toolkit that would allow the WNBA to promote this celebration from a 360° approach.
The final “Thirty" wordmark is simple yet bold—a symbol that speaks to the WNBA's evolution over three defining decades. The wordmark is more than just a logo. It’s a statement. The Logowoman rises above the height of the logo, visually breaking out of the confines of "THIRTY" and representing the WNBA’s legacy of defying limits and creating new spaces for greatness.

The brand system was designed to flex across a wide range of applications. The brand toolkit included brand color and typography layouts and rules, and parameters for different styles of photography. It seamlessly integrates into OOH campaigns, exhibits, and even apparel, maintaining consistency and adaptability.

︎︎︎ On Friday April, 9th and throughout the entire weekend, the NBA teams all wore and revealed the WNBA 30th Anniversary logo during warm ups and court entry – spotlighting the league’s accelerating momentum ahead of the 2026 season tip-off on Friday, May 8th.
