	Stream The Best of British Telly.

 
	Building on BritBox’s existing equity and profitable position in the market, our goal from the brief was to evolve, rather than reinvent, the brand for today’s viewer. We audited years of organic growth and informal brand use, then codified a coherent system spanning visual identity, motion, tone of voice, and sonic branding, anchored in the idea of a British speciality streamer bringing a curated eye and fresh perspective to an increasingly crowded streaming landscape.

The new brand is anchored by a distinctive sonic mnemonic that extends the idea of a fresh perspective into sound. Working with composer Joel Pickard, Sibling Rivalry defined a short, memorable sequence that feels warm and confidently British without pastiche.

At first we were told not to change the BritBox logo. But, as we dug into our initial design explorations we quickly realized the red-and-blue duotone logo was limiting us from taking the brand forward. We worked with the team at BritBox to move them towards a simplified, single-color mark, and an expanded toolkit of fonts and color palette. The result is a brand that feels modern, curated, and cohesive, yet remains subtly evolved to existing fans.

Expressing that “British” isn’t a narrow genre but an expansive, exciting state of mind, the refreshed identity builds on BritBox's reputation as a well-loved brand, and inspires audiences to explore new perspectives. By integrating human curation in a category dominated by algorithms, the brand revitalizes the joy of streaming and celebrates the very best of British television.

	︎The brand has a new set of visual layouts, called “macro moments,” which reflect the way that British storytelling uniquely marries character and place. The layouts feature the box icon as a portal into British characters, married with a macro texture that anchors the story in its setting.“This refreshed identity strengthens the clarity and confidence of the BritBox brand. Sibling Rivalry understood our brief to evolve the brand and bring it to life through a flexible, modular system that expands our creative toolkit and elevates premium perception. ︎︎︎The Task : Refresh the Fire TV Brand across strategy &#38;amp; design in a three month timeline.

 
	Fire TV is one of Amazon’s lead device product lines with a multitude of smart TVs and streaming media players. The evolving brand was in need of a brand overhaul – inlcuding strategy, voice &#38;amp; tone and design across marketing, packaging, social, app, digital and retail.This was a fast paced project with a small and talented internal team. I lead the design team and worked with internal partners to bring structure and cohesion to the Fire TV brand and it’s marketing endeavors. Embracing the original bold Fire TV Orange we created a system that was structured, yet built for future flexibility and creative development.

On top of the design system, I lead the design team to build a comprehensive internal brand portal where all information and guidance is available to keep the standards and rules of the brand easily accessible for anyone working on a Fire TV project or campaign.

	︎︎︎The Task : Introduce customers to Fire TV’s first ever Soundbar and deliver on the brand’s reputation for great quality at a great price.
Fire TV is one of Amazon’s lead device product lines with a multitude of smart TVs and streaming media players. In September of 2023 - Fire TV introduced it’s first Soundbar to it’s roster of devices.With the internal go-to-market and product packaging team, we developed a cohesive campaign and design that showcased the ease of set-up and the simple, sleek and compact design of a soundbar that packed a bold punch of sound for any room in the home.

	Ras Baraka Audiobook Campaign


A Radical Imagination
Ras Baraka, the 40th Mayor of Newark, a born politician, activist and spoken word poet relased his first Audiobook in 2022. Ras, through Audible, approached the studio Sibling Rivalry to develop the full campaign and creative for this launch. After listening to a few of his chapters, I had my idea for how to bring this to life. Ras spoke of having a ‘Radical Imagination’ and through his visionary words, in the direction I developed, I invited listeners into a dream-like memoir. 

I used layered images and handwritten typography to emulate the community Ras has built over his life. This layered visual approach gave the direction depth and history to strike parallels between the struggles of the past and the path that imagination can take us on moving forward.
On top of developing the visual branding and video compenents of this launch, I worked closely with the team at S/R to produce the shoot from start to finish. Researching locations, developing shoot mood boards, selecting wardrobe and props on-set and creating the production book for this one-day fast paced shoot.

BET Rebrand
A New Canvas
In 2021 BET knew it was time to evolve their brand to the next level and to modernize their identity. While at Sibling Rivalry, I had the pleasure of working with the talented team at BET along with the team below to spend eight months creating the brand identity “Black Canvas.”


The core formo of the identity was built around a new logomark that not only changed it’s shape, but built an entire icon system for all of the sub-brands within the BET family umbrella. From there, everything from color, to brand elements, marketing, pring &#38;amp; ooh, swag, typography and social was developed.

	Audible Brand System


With more original audiobooks growing every day, Audible knew it was time to make a bigger and more consistent mark in the world. The brand was getting lost behind busy book covers, and as Audible stepped further into the marketing world, they were creating singular one-off campaigns with little brand equity.&#38;nbsp;The main strategy of this design was to REVEAL a world of new stories to listeners and create a system that brought the Audible Brand to the forefront of all content. There would be no question it was an Audible book, promo, post or marketing campaign from here on out.

The next and biggest task at hand was to re-design the hero infobar and all corresponding LIVE graphics that deliver the networks must current and breaking news and information. The new infobar was carefully crafted and set up to be pixel perfect. The updated design was a structured grid system, so that the heights of different elements would all align.&#38;nbsp;

The previous book covers were extremely busy. And, the yellow Only From Audible ‘strap’ was taking up far too much real estate. The new design system created hierachy and used the CHEVRON icon from the logo to create a consistent anchor on the bottom of all layouts.&#38;nbsp;

The new design system set up a consistent brand identity but, also allowed for flexibility in color, and the option to also add imagery or footage. The motion language developed also created structure for Audible.

Facebook Coming Out Day 2020
National Coming Out Day was on Sunday October 11th, 2020 and to help kick-off the momentus day, Scout Productions + Facebook created an hour long special to air on the Facebook Watch Channel. The special is loaded with LGBTQ celebs, icluding Tan France, Demi Lovato, Trixie Mattel, Law Roach and many others. I worked with the amazing team at Sibling Rivalry to develop the Logo, Design System and Package to immerse this special in the colors of pride. We presented four ideas to the client and went with the direction named Loud + Proud. Together with the great team listed below we designed and animated the entire package in two weeks. This was such an honor to work on. News12 Rebrand


It was an extreme pleasure and exciting opportunity to partner with the News12 Team to develop and curate a tri-state refresh across all local news regions.


To start at the beginning, is to show the final logo mark. We left no stone unturned as we thoughtfully crafted and studied the letterforms and numbers. Numbers are always so difficult in a logo! It was a fun and thoughtful process as we found the right numbers to marry with our fresh new word mark. Our end result is a much more modern and neutral logo that we feel brings the network into a new foundation and space.&#38;nbsp;The new mark comes in two color options, the hero blues and the secondary mark with that bold yellow.

The next and biggest task at hand was to re-design the hero infobar and all corresponding LIVE graphics that deliver the networks must current and breaking news and information. The new infobar was carefully crafted and set up to be pixel perfect. The updated design was a structured grid system, so that the heights of different elements would all align. The size of the elements was drastially reduced so that elements were not taking over so much of the screen or intruding on the anchors.

The Weather was another large component of the brand refresh. In similar fashion to the infobar, we crafted a structured layout for the 3,5 and 7-Day forecasts. Additionally, we re-did all of the weather forecast icons.

One hundred plus icons were designed in an outlined look that has a cleaner, simpler look. Re-interpreting the elements was a unique challenge.

Topic / First Look Media&#38;nbsp;
Topic was undergoing a brand refresh and reached out for help developing the motion and digital portions of their new brand. Maggie Tsao had developed and designed the new logo and framing system for the brand, along with the print and hero brand look. From those initial design assets and parameters I developed the motion and digital toolkit. The Topic brand needed an extensive toolkit that would cover promotional elements for their video conent online, as well as socially. Thornberg created one of the best toolkits out there to make this a smooth and wonderful tool to build out the motion assets.
